When you sign up for the Marriott Bonvoy program, you automatically get authorized to use Marriott hotel Wi-Fi for free. However, to be eligible you’ll first have to book a hotel room in one of Marriott’s hotels via the Marriott mobile app or website. After that, connecting to the Marriott Wi-Fi network is pretty simple: we’ll explain the whole process below.

Who can Use Marriott Free Wi-Fi?

Marriott hotels offer free Wi-Fi connections, but there are two conditions that you have to meet in order to enjoy these benefits:

  • You’ll need to sign up for the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program
  • You have to book a Marriott brand hotel room using their mobile app or website

Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty Program

The Marriott Bonvoy program is probably one of the best hotel reward programs in the world. It allows Marriott customers to earn and redeem points which can be used for staying at Bonvoy brand hotels.

There are more than 6000 Marriott properties worldwide and are over 30 hotel chains that sit under this brand, some of the most famous ones being:

  • The Ritz-Carlton
  • JW Marriott
  • St. Regis
  • Westin
  • Sheraton
  • Renaissance Hotels

For example, when you spend $1 in one of these Marriott properties, you’ll get a 10-base point. However, some low-budget brands might give a lower base rate. Either way, these points can be redeemed if you register for Bonvoy membership.

How to Register for the Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty Program

First, you’ll need to download the Marriott Bonvoy app from either Google Play Store or App Store, then complete the registration process using your email address or Facebook ID. The Marriott Bonvoy app is completely free to download.

Currently, there are five different membership levels offered under the program:

  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Titanium
  • Ambassador

Additionally, depending on your membership level, you’ll receive a bonus when you earn points. For example, Silver members get 10% more points, and Platinum members get 50% more.

Booking a Hotel Room with the Marriott Website or the App

After registering for the Marriott Bonvoy app, you can use this app to book a hotel room that’s included in the loyalty program. Alternatively, go to the official Marriott website and book a hotel room from there.

However, keep in mind that booking a hotel room via third-party apps such as Booking.com, Priceline, Kayak, and TripAdvisor may mean you give up your access to free Marriott hotel Wi-Fi.

4 Simple Steps to Connect to the Marriott Wi-Fi

Step 1 – Open the Wi-Fi Settings

First, grab your device and turn On your Wi-Fi, then navigate to the Wi-Fi settings.

Step 2 – Find and Select Marriott Wi-Fi

Under Wi-Fi settings, you should see a list of all the available Wi-Fi networks. Find the Marriott Wi-Fi network and select it.

Step 3 – Enter Your Details

After clicking on the Marriott hotel Wi-Fi, the login page will pop up. Enter your guest information in the login page. Most of the time, you’ll have to enter information such as your last name and hotel room number, but in some cases, you may have to enter your Marriott Bonvoy account number.

Step 4 – Contact Front Desk If Needed

If you have trouble connecting to the hotel internet at Marriott, you can always contact the hotel front desk for assistance.

What is Marriott Enhanced Internet?

Marriott enhanced internet is a paid internet connection which is faster than the standard Marriott hotel network or guest network. This package will cost you $19.99 per day, which is $5 extra than the standard package, but Marriott enhanced internet can be as fast as 46Mbps.

  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Platinum elite
  • Titanium
  • Ambassador

How to Connect to Marriott Enhanced Internet

Connecting to Marriott’s enhanced internet is similar to using their standard hotel WiFi, but you might have to follow one or two additional steps.

Here’s how to upgrade and connect to Marriott enhanced internet hotel WiFi:

  • Turn on your device’s Wi-Fi and navigate to the Wi-Fi Settings

  • Wait until the Marriott Wi-Fi login page comes up
  • Enter your information (usually last name and room number)
